I'm on holiday! I have completed all of my doll orders and only the local ones are still sitting in my room upstairs waiting to be collected and hidden away by mama's. So now I can relax and enjoy the coming festive season. a tissue paper angel I made this afternoon.
Last night the kids deocrated the tree. It is a bit wonky and some branches are more favoured than others but it has...erm..charm. Actually it is very sweet and Joa is so taken with it.
I have been trying my hand at weaving a wreath. We have lots of willow out the back in the field next door to us. It is lovely to work with and I am suprised that it is working. I'm following instructions given in the winter edition of JUNO.
Next I need to gather some greenery and berries to decorate it with.
I have been trying to catch up on some of my house work which has been woefully neglected over the past couple of months. The boys were very happy to join in doing their own bit of work,

washing up the playdough cutters.
This is 'Joe'. When Benny has this hat on he is a worker called Joe. He's been very helpful today, very handy to have around :-)
To reward all of our work we did a bit of baking. We have been reading lots of Beatrix Potter at the moment, especially The Tale of Samuel Whiskers. This has replaced Dogger as Benny's favourite and we read it at least 3 times a day. While I was tidying my cook books I found my own Beatrix Potter cook book that was mine as a little girl. So we had to make these oat biscuits (we will try the roly-poly pudding soon no doubt).

How fun! It looks like your holiday is off to a wonderful start. Our Christmas tree has some favored branches as well. Most of them are very low to the ground. Enjoy!
