Giles' doll

Here is our wee competition doll with a custom order I have just finished.

This wee chap is a custom order doll. He is 16 inches tall and is made in the waldorf style. He is made of cotton interlock stuffed with clean, carded wool.

His eyes and mouth are hand embroidered with cotton thread and his cheeks are blushed with red wax.

He is wearing a little green and mushroom print cotton shirt and upcycled brown cordroy dungarees with a mushroom on the front. These close with snap fastens and are easy to get on and off.

He has a multi-coloured, hand knitted gnome hat and matching socks. His jacket is made of an upcycled felted wool sweater that fastens with a little wooden star button.

His hair is blond kid mohair knitted into a little cap and stitched firmly to his head. Loops of yarn are hand sewn into this to make his shaggy locks :-)

He also comes with this second outfit; a little pale blue cotton upcycled shirt that buttons up the front with a little collar. He also has blue cotton trousers.

A hand knitted denim blue tank top should keep him warm enough through the autumn.

He has matching blue socks and a little blue and white stripey hat.

I really enjoyed making this wee man and I hope he will make a very special play companion for Giles :-)
