Snow days

It has snowed! The kids are so excited. It snowed most of the day yesterday and this is what it looks like this morning. Breath takingly beautiful!! It's too icy to go anywhere, preschool was cancelled and I called my midwife and cancelled my appointment with her too.
B and R playing out in the first snow yesterday. They delighted in throwing snow balls at the window (then licking them off!). When it got too cold yesterday we came back in and R made this really cool museum with the duplo. The drawers had coins in them and you had to pay to get in, and there was a very definite rule about not touching (Benny!) or borrowing any of the things in the museum. It made a welcome relief from playing baddies and goodies! I managed to get a cup of tea into them this morning before they insisted on going out to play in the snow (ice). They took out some more water/ foodcolouring and loved making experiments with ice and salt. They were at it for nearly an hour.

Plan to snuggle in for the rest of the day and make a curry tonight to thaw us all out. Keep warm x
