Where the Wild Things Are

Do you know this story?
It is Joa's very favourite story. He asks for me to read it to him over and over again. Whenever he sees Max he points at him and calls 'Ma Ma'

I am really surprised at how much he loves it, It was actually one of my favourite stories ever. As a teenager I painted a huge forest in my bedroom to look as though a 'forest grew, and grew..'
Look at the joy on his face, he's such a cutie!
A couple of weeks ago I made a doll out of up-cycled material. I did him as a demonstration for a craft along I ran through facebook. I hadn't an idea what to do with the little doll himself. I didn't want to sell him in my shop because he is made of up-cycled materials.
So then I thought I would make him into a Max doll for Joa's Birthday on Sunday.
 I finished him yesterday evening
His suit if of grey fleece left over from some shorts my mum made for Benny a few year ago.
He has a knitted tail and little white felt claws

I'm so pleased with how he came out. Rebe thinks Joa is going to love him,
I do hope he does :-)

  3. We love that story over here to - what a brilliant idea to have a Max doll. We have a Gruffalo softie and he has given rise to lots of imaginative pleasure - sure your boy will have hours of play and enjoyment. Your dolls are beautiful xx
