***In September 2011 6 families got together and started Buddies Home School. Each week we meet in each other's home and follow a simple rhythm: movement and music, craft/ baking, snack time, free play and story time. Each part of the session is led by a different family. We are sharing this week's session with you here...***
This week we decided to let the Buddies 'do Buddies'. We sat in a circle and sang the welcome song and then let the Buddies decide the songs or music they wanted to do. They chose instruments and we all clapped and beat a a rhythm. Then each Buddy took it in turns to perform a solo.

For craft Benny had the idea of teaching everyone to make a toy car. We selected some things from the craft box and they sat at the table working with paper plates, crayons, glue and tin foil.

After the crafts and snack were finished the Buddies played for a while and then all gravitated to the drumming that was taking place in the next room.
They didn't want a story to the session just trailed off somewhat.
