Peter Pan Waldorf Doll

Rebe is completely in love with Peter Pan.

We have no less than 4 different book versions in the house, we have Peter Pan costumes and sweaters, our best day ever was a visit to Peter Pan on ice . Since Christmas she has been asking me to make her a Peter Pan doll. I promised I would make her one for her birthday which is tomorrow. Last night I finally finished him: He is about 16" and quite cuddly.

He has a waistcoat with an acorn button, very like the one I made for Rebe herself last year. The rest of his clothes are made from upcycled t-shirts of Joa's. His cap is also very like the one Rebe wears herself when she's being Peter.

He also comes with Tinkerbell. She is about 5" tall and has a little baby bunting type body. She has a little tiny knitted pixie cap which is stitched to her head and I used wool roving for her hair. She has tiny felt wings sewn onto her back and a little knitted apron.

Peter has a brown felt sword (as requested by Rebe) and a snap fasten on his waistcoat that he can attach the sword to when he's not using it.

His hand also has a snap fasten on it (again requested) so that he can hold things like his sword...

and Tinkerbell.

I really love him and I hope Rebe will too.

Phew, now often to bake a mountain of cakes for the party including, yes you guessed it...a Peter Pan cake ;-)

  3. That is beautiful. Although I'm not surprised as the doll you made for my daughter is very much a firm favourite (in fact it's her baby sister!).

    Your daughter will be thrilled.

  11. thanks dionne :-) the cheeks are made with a little red wax crayon. I warm my finger then rub it over a red wax crayon and gently rub that into the little cheek. Hope this helps Laura x
